I'm ready for my close-up, Mr. DeMille

This is a friend of mine. I love people who have exotic good looks. Joann is vietnamese. She is also painfully shy, so getting these pics was not easy! After we sat and talked for a while (and had a few glasses of red wine), she loosened up and let me get these pictures. Any advice is welcome. :) Jose

  1. Look for locations that have a more directional lighting. Directional means the dominating light source is coming from a certain direction.

Portrait usually will benefit from directional lighting because the person's face will have more contrast in highlight and shadows. It became more 3 dimensional and the contour of the subject's face will be more appealing.

Even lighting look flat and uncharacterisic.

    Try it.
